Ravens FAQ
How long will the tips last?
Like climbing shoes, wear depends on usage. With Ravens beginner climbers can expect a long life of the tip pads. Aggressive climbers will wear out the tips faster. When climbing aggressively, on steep and overhanging terrain, or on very small holds, with all of the climbers weight placed on a single point on the tip of the tool, the tip pads will wear more quickly.
Should I wear a helmet when using Ravens?
Absolutely, unequivocally, yes. Wear a helmet to turn that potentially painful situation in a laughable moment.
What if I drop one, in the gym?
When properly using tethers of any kind, dropping a tool is nearly impossible. Climbing without tethers in a crowded gym puts other climbers at risk. Don’t do it.
